No Habla Español

As I sat there repeating (less elegantly than the teacher) short phrases like “How are you?” and “My name is Tifany” in Spanish, a part of me felt truly inadequate. My intention in taking a Spanish class was to see how nine years of Classical Conversations Latin would aid me in attempting to learn the language.

Students often view mathematics as merely a collection of formulas they have to memorize, rather than ideas they need to understand. Because of this, students learning mathematics often miss some of the important connections between ideas within mathematics.

Can We Put the Phone Down?

Believe me, I totally get it. We all have responsibilities and obligations outside of Classical Conversations. We have other children, who aren’t with us. We have husbands, wives, parents, bosses, and friends who depend on us. Technology and the smartphone have made it easy for us to touch base, follow up, and send reminders in a matter of seconds.

Home School State of the Union

History tells us that the basis of State of the Union addresses comes from the Constitution. Yes, it’s right there in Article II, Section 3, Clause 1 that the president “shall from time to time give to the Congress Information of the State of the Union, and recommend to their Consideration such measures as he shall judge necessary and expedient.”
