To know God and to make Him known.

Homeschool Now USA

I have good news: you can homeschool, you should start now, and there are people all over the USA that are willing to help you get started. If you have good news, do you keep it to yourself or do you share it with friends, family, and other loved ones?

In Romans 10:15 we read, "And how shall they preach, except they be sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!”" (KJV)

The Bible is talking about the ultimate good news—that Christ died to save us from our sins. However, we can and do apply this principle to our lives daily. Sometimes we need to be sent and other times we need to know where to send people. That is why I helped to start Homeschool Now USA with my fellow board members: Davis Carmen of Apologia, Chuck Hurst of HSLDA, Cathey Alberson from CAPE New Mexico, and Bob Jacobsen of MassHOPE in Massachusetts.

Homeschool Now USA is where you can go to get materials on how to share homeschooling with your friends and local community. It is also a resource to which you can send your friends to help them find out more about homeschooling. Our goal is to help five million people choose to homeschool by 2025. One way we are doing that is by promoting homeschooling during School Choice Week, January 25-31, 2015.

The reasons to homeschool now are very compelling, but many people still think, “I could never do that!” or “What about socialization?” and they are afraid to take the leap. You might have been one of those people, but I am sure someone encouraged you to believe you could homeschool. Our goal is to encourage parents who are interested in giving their children an extraordinary education designed to fit their needs instead of a common education designed for the fiftieth percentile.

We have put together a collection of materials to help you tell others about homeschooling if you feel inspired to do so. If you are not sure about hosting a meeting, please encourage people you know to attend one. Imagine what would happen if every homeschool family was able to send one friend to a homeschool information meeting. The results would be astounding!

Davis Carmen put it best when he wrote:

Please visit our website and spread the word by liking and sharing the Homeschool Now USA Facebook page. If you are personally interested in organizing, promoting, or presenting at one of the local “Why to Homeschool” information meetings, please send an e-mail to HomeschoolNowUSA@gmail.com.

If there was ever a time to homeschool, it is now.

Homeschool Now USA is a nonprofit organization with the goal of connecting current homeschoolers with families interested in their educational options in order to help them find answers to their questions and to help them get started by pointing them in the right direction. Please visit our website, www.homeschoolnowusa.com, for more information.

If you are not homeschooling and you want to learn more, please join us at a Homeschool Now USA event. You can find them through www.schoolchoiceweek.com by searching “homeschool” and you can have your questions answered by an experienced homeschooler.

Peace be with you,

Robert Bortins
