To know God and to make Him known.

Cultivating Classical Parents

Conversations and resources designed to help you grow as a Christian, classical educator.

Classical Conversations believes that parents are the best educators of their children. Because of this core belief, we work hard to equip parents to home educate their children through high school. For over a decade, we have offered free three-day parent practicums in the summer to prepare parents for the upcoming school year. Now, we are pleased to launch Cultivating Classical Parents. Each week, Cultivating Classical Parents will provide daily articles to inspire and encourage you on your homeschooling journey. Each month, we will offer FREE webinars to help you further the journey. Some will offer practical tips for Latin and middle school math while others will help to refresh your mission and help you dig deeper into the ideas of Christian, classical education.

About Your Hosts

Lisa Bailey is a homeschooling mom of two: one CC graduate and one Challenge IV student. Lisa currently serves as the Parent Practicum Developer, training speaker-trainers and filming vignettes for the amusement of Practicum audiences. Lisa loves reading, debating, and decorating projects.

Amanda Butler is a homeschool mom, a Challenge A tutor, and the Academic Development Manager. You can hear her voice on many of our CC Connected math tutorials. In her spare time, she loves to eat sushi, read about Church history, and garden in her backyard.

Jennifer Courtney and her high school sweetheart have been married for 20 years and have always home educated their children in the lovely pioneer state of Oklahoma. Jennifer currently serves as Content Development Manager of MultiMedia and as a Challenge II tutor in her local community. In her free time, she enjoys reading, reading and more reading, and biking and traveling with her family. Her secret guilty pleasures are Jane Austen, Charles Dickens, and British mystery novels.

Marc Hays and his wife have been married for 15 years and have six children.  They have been home educating since 1999 and a part of Classical Conversations since 2010.  Marc serves as the Lead Curriculum Developer of MultiMedia.  He enjoys his morning rituals of drinking coffee, reading books, and peeking in on the kids while they sleep.  His favorite coffee is Costa Rican; his favorite author is G. K. Chesterton.

Denise Moore is a homeschool mom of two daughters (CC graduates), a Ch IV director, and serves as the Digital Production Lead for MultiMedia. Denise coordinated the development of Classical Acts & Facts History cards and the complementary Timeline song. Denise enjoys Latin, Duke basketball, reading, and pizza.
